Whether you’ve been taking part for years or are considering joining for the first time, the CFP Green Buildings Regatta is a day that stays with you. What makes this day so special? We asked participants how they experience the regatta.
On Friday 4 September 2026, professionals from the real estate sector will once again come together on the IJsselmeer for a day full of action, collaboration and new connections. Heading out onto the water together, taking on the challenge as a team, and returning to shore at the end of the day with fresh energy and new contacts – that’s what makes this day so unique. And good to know: sailing experience is not required. You can join with your own team or come aboard as a guest on one of the CFP boats.
Not your standard networking event
The day starts in the harbour of Enkhuizen. Coffee, first conversations, a relaxed atmosphere. But once you head out onto the water, things quickly intensify.
You work together, switch gears quickly and feel the energy building towards the race. But how you experience the day is entirely up to you. Some go all in for the win, while others enjoy the shared experience, the views and the conversations on board.
“The whole day just works. From the welcome to the race and the drinks afterwards. But the race itself remains the highlight. At the start, everything comes together – timing, positioning and teamwork. Before you know it, you’re right in the middle of it.”
Collaboration in a way you won’t experience anywhere else
What makes the Green Buildings Regatta different is how quickly people connect. You step on board and immediately start working together. Different backgrounds, roles and companies come together on one boat and form a team in no time. Even if you’ve never sailed before, you simply join in.
One of the previous participants shared: “On the water, you have to work together. Everyone on board needs to understand what they need from each other to perform. That changes the nature of conversations – more direct, more honest, and often more valuable than at a traditional networking event.”

Each year, the regatta brings together a great mix of people. Familiar faces from the sector and new participants joining for the first time. This creates conversations that wouldn’t happen as easily elsewhere. You reconnect with existing relationships while also meeting new people.
