Here’s why Nanda, Boas and Bram all deserve a place in the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50

Not one, not two, but three of CFP’s professionals have been nominated for the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50: Nanda, Boas and Bram. Each of them is committed to making real estate at home and abroad more sustainable, and of course they all deserve a place in the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50. Why? Find out here.

Nanda Verschoor

Nanda Verschoor graduated from University College London with an MSc in environmental design. Sustainability in buildings is her speciality, and she has a successful track record in consultancy, implementation and project management for several large banks (including Rabobank), housing corporations and utility companies. Nanda is accredited as a BREEAM In-Use Expert and is Lead Project Manager for the UK roll-out of the Lloyds Bank Green Buildings Tool, which will soon be making thousands of buildings more sustainable.

Boas Kraaijeveld

Boas Kraaijeveld is a consultant with CFP Green Buildings and holds a Master’s degree in Global Business & Sustainability from the Rotterdam School of Management. For his thesis, he examined how business model innovations can have a positive impact and ensure that we stay within planetary boundaries, or, to put it another way:  “Business as a force to do good.” Since then, he has been actively following the news media and scientific literature, and sharing the knowledge gained with the rest of the world in blogs. Boas is also an important player in making all sports clubs in the Netherlands more sustainable, and works with NOC*NSF, the Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sport, the Sport and Municipalities Association, and others to achieve this goal.

Bram Adema

One thing you hear Bram say often is: “Increasing the sustainability of real estate is not going fast enough or far enough!” As director of CFP Green Buildings, Bram works towards changing this every day. With the help of consultants and online tools, Bram has already helped more than 400,000 buildings to become more sustainable. But he doesn’t stop there. He has devised a way to make circularity in buildings quantifiable, he has made sustainability something not only simple but affordable (with innovations like quickscans and sustainable roadmaps), and he is the initiator behind various projects to make schools, municipalities and the sports sector in the Netherlands more sustainable.
In addition, Bram regularly organises events, including the CFP Innovation Day (where sustainable innovations are given a stage) workshops and webinars (with people like Erik Scherder, on the importance of health in buildings), and the Green Buildings Event (where he brings together all the players in the built environment and encourages them to accelerate the sustainability of the building sector).
