Last week we were pleased to award no less than 17 BREEAM certificates to Merin on behalf of the DGBC. Merin believes that a workplace should bring out the best in people and that happiness, health and success are paramount. In its ongoing efforts to assemble a sustainable and healthy portfolio, Merin has achieved the following milestones: 11 properties now have BREEAM “good” certificates and one has a “very good” certificate. A further five properties have earned a BREEAM “excellent” rating. We celebrated this wonderful news last week with a glass of champagne.
The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, BREEAM for short, is an internationally recognised sustainability standard that offers an objective assessment of a building’s sustainability. Our experts prepared a baseline appraisal of all of Merin’s buildings and, based on the results, told us what measures should be taken to maximise their sustainability potential and assets. In addition, CFP also assisted Merin in introducing these measures by identifying relevant parties and ensuring implementation.
Merin and CFP have worked together closely over the past year, resulting in 17 new BREEAM certificates. The scores received are a magnificent reward for all those who collaborated on this project.
