CFP unlocks building data for 32 million French buildings

Working with French real estate data has become much easier. CFP Green Buildings has integrated several official French data sources into its software, providing users with direct access to energy performance certificates (known in France as the Diagnostic de performance énergétique, or DPE) information and building characteristics for assets across France. The integration includes data on approximately 32 million buildings.

Official French data directly integrated into the Green Buildings Tool

The new functionality draws on three French data sources: the national address database BAN, ADEME’s official DPE register and the National Building Database (BDNB).

When a user enters a French address in the Green Buildings Tool, the software automatically searches these sources for available information. If an energy performance certificate is registered, the relevant information can be retrieved and pre-filled automatically. Available building characteristics and property information are also added directly.

Even when no DPE is available, building information from the BDNB database can still be retrieved and pre-filled where available.

Faster onboarding of French real estate

For users managing real estate portfolios in France, the integration means less time spent searching for and entering data manually. Assets can be onboarded faster, while official data sources help improve the completeness and consistency of the available building information.

With data on approximately 32 million buildings available through BDNB, the integration also makes it easier to assess and manage French real estate portfolios at scale.

The new functionality is now live across CFP’s software tools available for the French market.
