This project came about in collaboration with LaSalle Investment Management and BNP Paribas Real Estate. LaSalle Investment Management is a leading investor and asset manager. BNP Paribas Real Estate Netherlands is an expert in the field of real estate value optimisation and works for LaSalle Investment Management as delegated Property and Asset Manager. The focus is on day-to-day and active management of the portfolio managed by BNP Paribas RE for LaSalle Investment Management.
BNP Paribas RE and LaSalle Investment Management asked CFP to provide a complex of four properties with a BREEAM certification. Firstly, CFP carried out an assessment of the current situation. The properties were rated with 2 stars, which meant they scored a ‘good’ on the BREEAM scale.
CFP then looked at the potential for improvement. It soon became clear that by taking a number of measures, we could also achieve 3 stars. In consultation with PNB Paribas RE and LaSalle Investment Management, we decided to achieve this first and then go for a BREEAM certification of 3 stars (‘very good’).
To progress from 2 to 3 stars, the washbasin taps, toilets and showers were made water-efficient. In addition, an ecological study for plants and animals in the vicinity was carried out and the resulting recommended measures were taken. Energy-efficient lighting has also been fitted and facilities for cyclists and public transport have been expanded. This not only improved the BREEAM score from 2 to 3 stars, but also achieved an EPC improvement to EPC A.
