Large-scale rehousing for UWV: from workplace to place to work

Before Article
  • Large-scale rehousing with fewer buildings
  • Work-style study of usage/layout plans and functional design
  • Evaluation studies

A large-scale rehousing project has been carried out at the head office of the Social Security Agency (UWV) next to Amsterdam’s Sloterdijk station, with the number of buildings being reduced from 4 to 2. CFP carried out a work-style study at all departments of the organisation, resulting in greater support for the new concept and a better understanding of work styles and activities. The study also led to usage/layout plans (division of departments and people within the premises) and a functional design. After the rehousing, evaluation studies were carried out in order to further improve the concept.
