Amsterdam’s Academic Medical Centre (AMC) wanted to minimise energy consumption within the hospital. CFP made energy consumption more transparent by entering the data from energy meters for each building section into an energy monitoring system. Profile analysis (the forerunner of the Energy Robot) then allowed the buildings to be made more energy-efficient. Target consumption levels were compared with the actual levels. Measures to save energy were then planned on the basis of the findings. One of those measures is the installation of LED lighting. Further optimisation measures are being implemented in collaboration with the building managers and operators. The total saving will amount to more than a million euros.
