For one week, attention was focused on making the real estate sector in the Netherlands more sustainable during the Dutch Green Building Week, organised by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC). Various events, talkshows and interviews were organised to encourage and motivate the participants at the online event to start working on sustainability themselves.

Expert Session: Paris Proof

Under the leadership of Bram Adema, director of CFP Green Buildings and board member of DGBC, we discussed with frontrunners how the Netherlands can take up its CO2 reduction role (Paris Proof) in the built environment. Central to the discussions was the Paris Proof Commitment that was signed during Dutch Green Building Week and subsequently presented to European Commission Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal Frans Timmermans.

On The Green Bench

No one less than Prince Carlos, Olympic champion Marit Bouwmeester, Remeha CEO Arthur van Schayk, real estate expert Roel van de Bilt and online start-up rockstar Ben Woldring took their places on The Green Bench with Bram Adema as host. The result? A fascinating in-depth discussion about various aspects of sustainability.


Expert Session: Circularity

Under the leadership of Bram Adema, we discussed with various experts what changes are needed to make a circular building economy possible. Various opportunities and challenges regarding a circular building economy were also discussed.
